Search: The location and condition of the individual(s) being sought is unknown (e.g. lost or overdue hikers, missing persons, downed aircraft, etc.)

Rescue: May or may not require a search, however, it is known that a rescue is required (e.g. stranded or injured hikers, mountain biking accident, swift water rescue, climbing accident, etc.)

Car Over: Accident in which a vehicle goes over a steep embankment usually requiring rappelling, truck and winch operations, and evacuation by litter.

Recovery: A body recovery of an accident victim or a victim of a fatal medical condition typically in rugged terrain or locations not easily accessible through normal means.

Assist: The team was called out to assist another Search and Rescue Team in carrying out an operation.

Other: Any type of search or rescue operation not covered above.
